Independent EV Charger Experts
SWL Electrical are pleased and proud to be bringing the new age of low emission electric vehicles to the north of Scotland.
We’re leading independent installers of both domestic and commercial EV Charging Points across the Highlands, focusing on particular on the 516-mile scenic route of the North Coast 500, a popular for tourists and locals alike.
We’re helping to open up the freedom of the open road as it weaves through some of Scotlands most impressive landscapes and attractions, heading from Inverness along the west coast to Applecross, then north towards Torridon and Ullapool. The route continues along the northern coast through Caithness and John o’ Groats before heading south again through Dingwall and back to Inverness.
We have a thorough understanding of the technology, so whether you drive an electric vehicle or plug-in hybrid, have a fleet of EV’s for your business, or want to provide EV charging at a workplace for visitors or staff, we can provide what you need.
Grants & Cash-back Available
If you have already joined the EV revolution, or are planning to do so, speak to us as soon as possible for help and advice about the different types of EV battery chargers available, and how to find out if you are eligible for an Olev (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) grant and cash back from the Energy Savings Trust in Scotland.
Choosing a home charge point from the wide range available can be confusing, but we are able to give you impartial advice to help you decide on the right charger to suit your vehicle, range of travel and where it will be situated on your property.
Workplace charge points help staff reduce commuting costs, emissions and their company car tax, and of course if you can offer a reliable charge point for EVs on your premises your customers will be very appreciative. There are different options available, from single wall-mounted fast chargers to banks of free standing pedestal chargers for car parks.

Convenient Access to Your Own Charger
According to Transport Scotland, there are currently around 1,500 public EV charge points in Scotland, but most of these are slow chargers and found in the cities and larger towns.
If you have an Electric Vehicle for personal or business use, it makes sense to have access to your own charger at work or at home – or preferably both.
For businesses there are financial benefits to running electric vehicles which makes installing car chargers highly cost effective, for instance EVs cost around 3-5p to run, compared to 16-18p for conventional fuelled vehicles.
We are likely to see increasing numbers of electric vehicles here in the northern reaches of Scotland, and SWL Electrical is glad to be at the vanguard as we replace conventional gas guzzlers with green alternatives.
We are a forward-thinking company who have Scotland’s environmental interests at heart. Join the green revolution and go electric.
We're NICEIC regulated, which means we've undergone a rigorous assessment process of our work.
